We have a QTERM G55 in the field that has the wrong date and time. The operator successfully corrected it via Power On Settings and rebooted the QTERM. The correct date and time appeared. Later on, the time and date had reverted back to the original incorrect date and time. The operator repeated the procedure with the same initially successful results, followed by a reversion to the incorrect time and date. Any idea on how to troubleshoot this?

I am assuming that your G55 has the real time clock option. If so, then the likely problem would be a dead clock battery, although it is also possible that for some reason the connection from the battery to the G55 board is intermittent.

If you have another G55 handy, you could try swapping batteries and seeing if the problem transfers to the other unit, although on some G55 configurations, the battery can be difficult to access. If that doesn't resolve the problem, then we should probably take a look at it.
