Post subject:  Internal GPS on M4X

Hi all,

Would anyone happen to know which at which port the M4X's internal GPS is located?

Also, is there a utility for the M4x to configure the Microsoft GPS Intermediate Driver? I had a look under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Drivers and there are no entries there...

Thanks!
Markus

COM6
9600 baud rate

There isn't a utility for configuring the Microsoft GPS Intermediate Driver. However, you can use the terminal utility for inspecting NMEA strings: \HardDisk\bin\mintermce.exe

I have another question regarding the GPS on the M4X: What is the voltage range of the intgrated GPS receiver's antenna power supply? I am specing out antennas for our application.

TIA,
Markus

Not sure, however this is the document for the module:

If it's not in there, let me know. Also, I'll double check with our electrical engineers on recommended antennas.

Thank you, Daniel - found what I needed on Page 6:

Quote:
For active antennas, the VOUT line can provide 2.85V at 30mA to power the
external LNA.
