We have a TREQ/DX dev kit in-house and I was attempting to setup remote debugging over the Ethernet connection – seems like everything is right except that Visual Studio complains about the version of ConmanClient2/CmAccept – on VS.NET 2005 for the TREQ/GeodeGX2 platform I get :
"To 'GeodeGX2:x86_Release'
Connection faild. 0x8973151A"

In VS.NET 2008, I get a slightly better message:
"To 'GeodeGX2:x86_Release'
Connection failed. The version of Comman Client running
on the device is incompatible with the desktop. Bootstrap
the device with the desktop compatible device binaries and try
connecting again."

There is an update to the conman files that came with VS 2008 (or a service pack for VS2005). The update is not in the latest TREQ-DX distribution, but is scheduled to be included with the next release. I attached a zip with the latest files. Unzip and copy to \HardDisk\bin\client, then retry your connection.

You should also be able to find this files here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\CoreCon\1.0\Target\wce400\x86
