Hi

Is there a way from my C# application to set the task bar property to auto hide and make sure that when my application starts up that it gets the task bar hidden and gets control over 100% of the screen, which at the same time will disallow access to the desktop by the end user?

Thanks in advance,
Chris Hough

Chris,

There is a registry setting that can be used to auto-hide the taskbar and put it on the bottom.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\AutoHide] "Default"=dword:1
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\OnTop] "Default"=dword:0
The registry settings are persistent and will be restored even if power is lost to the TREQ.

You can also programatically remove the taskbar via these C++ MFC functions:
FindWindow(NULL, L"HHTaskBar"); ShowWindow(hWnd, FALSE);
Native C++ functions can be imported for use in C# applications.
