The QSI terminals are rough and tough but is there a model which I could use to display onboard video streaming from a camera looking at the process. I would like to display some part of the process equipment to a lift truck operator while he is standing by to intervene.

Thank you for your question. We offer numerous terminals that are rugged and meet different needs based on your application. For video streaming you are more limited in our product line at this time. I would suggest that you go to the vehicle terminal Treq on our website. The Treq is capable of playing video it is on a Windows CE platform not on our Qlarity platform. Please contact me if you further questions.

What video format does the TREQ-L support? MPG? MP4? MOV? API?

WMV files will work on the QSI WinCE devices. However high resolution and full screen video can sometimes lead to choppy playback. I've had successful playback at resolutions like 360x240 at 264kbps video bitrates.

Some sample videos are here (notice that the high quality video will suffer during playback):

I've successfully used the following sites for easily converting videos to the WMV format:
http://media-convert.com/
