Hi,

I am looking at the Galilsample.qly project. In the Layout View, all I can manage to see is the place holders for the objects inside the container but not the object contents on the display screen.

The jogpad object is in the 'other' library. How do I find the library and include it in my workspace so I can use the jog object?

Thanks,

Ata

Ata,

I'm not sure what problem your having in Layout view. Are you able to use the eyeball icons to change visibility of the different objects? Do you have the properties window visible?

We have a general purpose directionpad object in the extrav2 library. If you want the same direction pad as the demo you'll need add the exdirectionpad.lib library to your workspace. Exdirectionpad.lib is not a standard library, you'll find it in the directory where the galil demo is located.

The exdirectionpad.lib can be found in the same directory as the galilsample.qly sample program you were looking at.

The eyeballs do change but the effect is the same. All I see is the green outline of the box where the object is on the display but not the object itself. And I do see the properties and events info for each.

Thanks,

Ata

Ok, this sounds a bit unusual.

A few questions might help:

What is the background color for the display in Layout View? White, Black, dark green or something else?

Does the same problem exist in Simulation View?

Can you select and object by clicking it in Layout View, or can you only use the Object Tree to select objects

If you close Qlarity Foundry and reopen the workspace does the problem still exist?

If you create a new workspace and create a single object, eg. a button, can you see the button?

Hopefully these questions can help us narrow down your problem.

Hi Jeremy,

Ok, I think I understand what is happening :? . Once I hid everything else but the Jog Area Container and its contenets, and moved the JogPad object above the others under Jog, I could then see the object.

Sorry about the confusion, and thanks to you and Ron for holding me through this learning process.

Thanks,

Ata
