Can you recommend or supply a tool for making bdf fonts (out of ttf-like fonts??) for use on your terminals with Qlarity? I am using the Qterm-G72 terminal where the high-resolution display renders text much smaller than most older screens.

I often need fonts above 24pts. I know I can use ttf fonts, but am trying to make use only of bdf fonts to keep screen refreshing as fast as possible.

You can use ttf2bdf found here: http://www.beijerelectronicsinc.com/engfiles/.

Here is how to use it (it is a command line program)
TTF2BDF -l '0_255 ' -v -o (output).bdf -p 24 -r 72 (input).ttf

Change the italicized sections with values appropriate for your use. If you are using Unicode text, you may want to omit the -l '0_255' bit, which limits the font to ASCII characters.

It's a Linux program so you'll need Cygwin (Linux Emulator) if you're using windows.
