Hi -
I've been in the process of migrating some code from a G55 terminal to the G56 and am having some troubles.
Just got the code ready for the G56 terminal to run and I can download it to terminal fine (over serial port from Qlarity Foundry 2.6 - Download application) but the application won't persist through power cycle. I've been trying to get into the "Power on setup" but can't seem to get to it. I've tried pressing on upper left quarter of screen (screen is in landscape mode) on power up - it just boots into Windows CE. (Is this the default OS?) Holding down three buttons (like the G55 uses) doesn't do anything...

I've performed the stylus calibration process - through the control panel as the calibration quarter of the touchscreen doesn't do anything on power up either.

I also don't have a hardisk\bin or hardDisk\bin directory that is supposed to hold a variety of files for the CE environment - such as the demo, boot.bat, etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Based on the fact you are migrating from a G55 to a G56, it sounds like you have have received the wrong terminal configuration.

The G56 comes in two "flavors" -- Qlarity flavor and Windows CE flavor. It sounds like you received a Windows CE flavor unit but you want a Qlarity flavor unit. I would suggest contacting your sales representative and verifying which type of unit you have purchased/demoed.

A Qlarity flavor G56 should behave identically to your G55, except it will be faster and will have a touch screen in addition to the keypad.
