My code has a selection for the user to enter an IP address that the touchscreen will try to communicate with. The problem I'm seeing is if the address specified is not routable (different subnet) then the touchscreen will slowly become unresponsive and cause other issues on the network.

Has this behavior been previously seen? Any suggestions?

I am checking to see if the connection established before trying to send packets from the touchscreen; using an EthernetClientV2 object.

Thanks,
- Nate

I'd like take a look at your workspace. If there is no communication occurring (i.e. all TCP connections are closed), then I wouldn't expect any effect on the performance of the program when changing to another IP address.
