Hello,

I apologize for my bad english. :)

I'm working on an application for a QTERM-G55 , in a Qlarity Foundry 2.62
I'm having trouble establishing a serial communication with an another device.
I'm using a BasicSerialV2 object. And I'm having trouble with configuring baud rate.

When i senddata to a device, I've done a tutorial example.
I have set a Button on click handler, with property to set, -> selecting the BasicSerial, and using the explicit value for testing the connection.
When I try to recive data,
I tried to use this code
Code:
init config := "COM1:57600,8,N,1:none"
func OnDataReceived(data[] as byte)
EditBox_1.AppendText = data
endfunc

I get error message saying
Improper initialization Varialbe "config" initalized,but not declared.
I've allready configured serial communication parameters in settigns. To use the PC's com port.
Is there a simple tutorial for establishing a serial communication?
I'm not sure, are going tu understand what is my problem here.
I thank you for any kind of an answer.

If, I may ask, where did you get the documentation that told you to use a config property for the BasicSerialV2 object? I think you may have some documentation for an experimental fork of Qlarity. This fork which was never released provides a BasicComm object which has a config property that works the way the one you posted does.

As there are substantial differences between Qlarity 2.62 and this fork, I would suggest you discard any documentation you may have. For the QTERM-G55, Qlarity 2.61 or the recently released Qlarity 2.63 would be the most appropriate platform. (Qlarity 2.62 was released for the QTERM-G56/G58 only).

To set up the serial port in Qlarity 2 (any version), use Power On Setup as described in the Qlarity Hardware Manual (http://www.qsicorp.com/pdf/qlarity_hardware_rev4.pdf). If your application needs to change the port settings while it is running you can use the SetSystemSetting API.
