NASA has asked me to supply copies of Screens (screen prints) that i have built in the Qlarity application for one of the welding tools. they want to include these in the new operator manuals currently in work. how do i make a screen print that i can suck into MS paint or just make a .jpg file that they can then import into MS Word without all of the other stuff. they want a copy of the screens as they appear on the terminal. they don't want the object tree or the message bar.

Qlarity Foundry does not directly support this.

Whenever I need a screen shot, I set up what I want to see in Simulation View and press Alt+PrtScrn. I then open a graphics program (MS Paint works fine for this) and paste.

Now, at this point you will see the object tree and all the peripheral Qlarity Foundry windows. The next step is to select just the screen (and legend, if desired). If you are using MS Paint, press Ctrl+C to copy just the selected area. Press Ctrl+N to create a new image and Ctrl+V to paste. Now you have just a screen shot and you can save it in whatever format you want. JPG is a very poor format for Qlarity screen shots. PNG is probably the best, universally supported graphics format for QF screen shots.
