On rare occasions we will see our G70 units "lock up" or "freeze". It becomes unresponsive to touch and network pings, without going to a green screen (the only fix is to power cycle). The behavior is not consistent and seems to occur randomly. Do you guys have any advice on how to either track down or prevent this type of issue? It seems to be more prevalent on a very busy network, but that may just be "luck" so to speak.

Thanks for any help.

Doug

The symptom you are describing could indicate one of a couple of possible problems.

The easiest to address was a firmware issue that could cause lockups on very busy networks. This was discovered shortly prior to 2.600 and fixed in time for the 2.600 release (http://www.qsicorp.com/engfiles)

The other may require that we repair your unit. If possible, could you load 2.600 firmware into your unit(s) and see if that corrects your problem. If not, let us know and we can investigate whether they would benefit from a repair.

It's nice to hear this as I was concerned it would be quite difficult to track down. We are going to upgrade to 2.600 on one of our test units and make sure it doesn't break anything before installing it in the field. I will let you know if it seems to fix the issue. Thanks so much for the quick reply.
