Qlarity Terminals (G70, G75, Z60, G55, etc) are not primarily PLC communication devices. While they are sometimes used to talk with certain PLCs, they are principally used in situations where you need a robust graphical interface and some level of intelligent decision making at the terminal. They are also frequently used to communicate with less widespread devices for which there are no pre-programmed display or user interface package. As such, our terminals do not have native "drivers" to communicate with most PLCs

Many different PLC brands support, in addition to their native protocol, the Modbus protocol. Modbus is a somewhat generic PLC interface protocol. Qlarity terminals do have a Modbus driver which has been used on numerous different types of PLC.

If your PLC supports Modbus, you can start a Modbus communication workspace, by selecting File->New Workspace in Qlarity Foundry, then choosing the "Modbus(TM) serial RTU mode and Open Modbus(TM)/TCP" project type.

For further information, read about getting started with Modbus
