Modems are typically a DTE device. If connecting a Treq to a DTE device with a DB9 the pin-outs are like this:

Treq Rx -> pin 2 <- Tx Modem

Treq Tx -> pin 3 <- Rx Modem

Treq DTR -> pin 4 <- DSR Modem

Treq Gnd -> pin 5 <- Gnd Modem

Treq DSR -> pin 6 <- DTR Modem

Treq RTS -> pin 7 <- CTS Modem

Treq CTS -> pin 8 <- RTS Modem

If you are not using DTS/DSR lines, you may need to ground those on the modem side to prevent noise.

QSI should provide you with a DB37 pinout or wire color code for your Treq.
