A new WiFi adapter has been qualified to work "Plug and Play" with all TREQ products (no additional software driver installation required). As of today they are listed on the Amazon website for purchase:

http://www.amazon.com/PremierTek-PT-H9D-ROC-1W-802-11g-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B003QM101W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&m=A1CUXCEWGAZ8O2&s=electronics&qid=1299519985&sr=1-1

Keep in mind this adapter comes with a large (18inch) antenna.

In addition, the following adapter has been found to be compatible with the TREQ:

Ralink has discontinued the RT2501 USB WiFi adapter chipset, which is makes the aforementioned USB adapters difficult to obtain.

We have been testing and using USB WiFi adapters based on the Ralink RT3070 chipset on our newest products with good results.

We have tested using these adapters on a TREQ-M4 and TREQ-M4x. To use them on OS version 1.15 you will need to copy this driver file to the \harddisk\bin directory of your TREQ-M4 or TREQ-M4x device. Once you copy the file you can reboot your TREQ and insert your USB adapter. From there you can use the normal Windows CE GUI or APIs to configure your adapter. Starting in OS version 1.16 we will include this driver standard. We have not tested it with previous versions of the OS, although it will probably work.

Note: We do not have drivers for the TREQ-DX and TREQ-L at this time.

We have obtained working test samples from multiple sources, please contact support if you are having difficulty locating appropriate adapters

As part of testing the RT3070 chipset, we tested the following adapters and was able to successfully use them*

* This merely means that I was able to get the USB driver to enumerate and communicate with local network devices. We have not performed a comprehensive test on any 3rd party adapter. Inclusion on this list is for information only and does not imply endorsement by Beijer Electronics nor suitability for any purpose. This information was valid on the date tested, however, changes in products by 3rd parties may cause this information to become out of date.
