Contact Technical Support using this form to request a username and password for downloading the latest image.

http://www.qsicorp.com/company/contact/email.php

Download the latest image (TREQ_WinCE_Image_vX.XX_DDMMMYY.zip) here (username and password required):

http://www.qsicorp.com/engfiles/treq.php/

Here are the instructions for upgrading your WinCE Image.

1. Download the zip file, extract to an empty USB drive.

2. Insert the USB drive in the TREQ. Make sure it is the only USB drive

inserted.

3. Attach a USB keyboard.

4. Open a command prompt shell. Type:

a. cd \usbharddisk

b. upgradece

c. Type y, <enter> when prompted to reboot.

You can run the program WinVerCE.exe under \Hardisk\Bin\ on the Treq to

verify the version of WinCE.

If you get an error such as "Error ++ Unable to set file protection locking correctly!", you may have an older version of WinCE on your TREQ, and other steps may be needed for the upgrade.

Steps for upgrading older versions of WinCE on the TREQ:

a. insert upgrade USB drive

b. using windows explorer, copy \hard disk2\x86.system\NK.bin to \hard disk\NK.bin (overwrite)

c. reboot

d. now follow upgrade directions as before.

It is likely that the FPGA and BIOS need to be updated as well (documented in user manual):

a. complete upgrade procedure for WinCE system package

b. open a command prompt

c. type "\harddisk\bin\FPGA\FPGAConfigCE -u \harddisk\bin\FPGA\v1_011.bin

d. type "\harddisk\bin\BIOS\FlashBIOSCE -u \harddisk\bin\BIOS\v0_600.bin

e. reboot
